Parish Family Life Meeting Highlights
Date: April 24, 2012
Presently our committee is discussing:
- Mother's Day Ad, April 21 & 22. All proceeds go to Portage County Right to Life.
- Mother's Day Rose Sale after Masses on May 12 & 13, $2 per rose.
- Memorial Day – Garden Ceremony/Social with Justice & Peace: Flower baskets have been purchased for the garden and back of church. Announcements will be made after Mass.
- Summer Gatherings: Dates/Hosts have been selected: July 11– Harry Helminiak, 3257 Martha's Lane, Stevens Point; July 25 – Mike and Michelle Daniels, 2215 Conant St., Stevens Point; August 8 – St. Joseph Parish Family Center, 1709 Wyatt Ave., Stevens Point. Assistance from parish members is always welcome. Please contact chairs Mary Stroik or Deb Peltier.

Presently our committee is discussing:
- Mother's Day Rose Sale: Of the 300 roses ordered, only 9 remained. These were put by the Sacred Heart statue.
- Memorial Day – Garden Ceremony/Social with Justice & Peace: Flower baskets have been purchased for the garden and back of church. A prayer to be read at the ceremony has been selected. Announcements will be made after Mass. Volunteers were asked for to assist Justice & Peace with the Socials after Mass.
- Summer Gatherings: Dates/Hosts have been selected: July 13 – Mike and Kathy Brandl, 1817 Prescott Drive, Stevens Point; July 27 – Mike and Michelle Daniels, 2215 Conant St., Stevens Point; August 10 – St. Joseph Parish Family Center, 1709 Wyatt Ave., Stevens Point. Assistance from parish members is always welcome. Please contact chairs Mary Stroik or Deb Peltier.
- Picnic Basket: A "Pamper Yourself" theme was selected for PFL's picnic basket. Members will provide contributions. These will be forwarded to the Picnic Committee.
- Movie Night with PEC: "Movies and Munchies" scheduled for June 29, July 20 and August 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Family Center.

Presently our committee is discussing:
- Bulletin announcements are in place for Portage County Right to Life Ad collection April 16-17.
- 300 roses are on order for the Mother's Day Rose Sale May 7-8.
- Plans are underway for the Memorial Day Children's Garden Ceremony May 29.
- Summer Gatherings locations have been set. Dates to be determined. More discussion will occur at upcoming meetings. Assistance will be asked for from parish members.
