St. Anne's Society Meeting Highlights

Presently our committee is discussing:
- May Crowning date to be announced.
- Cook's helper wanted to help with funeral dinners for more information contact Aggie Kobishop.
- LDCCW Collection (formerly Low Sunday Collection) April 14 & 15.
- Stevens Point Deanery Open Assembly was held April 19 at St. Mary's of Mount Carmel.Our president Deb Peltier was installed as the Deanery Treasurer and was honored as one of five woman nominated for the Woman of Light Award.

- Inviting St. Stephen's ladies to join us.
- Informational meeting on Sept. 8 and Sept. 16.
- Installation of new officers by Fr. Jerzy.
Upcoming events:
- 22nd Annual Cookie Walk on Saturday, Dec. 3.
- Spaghetti supper on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012.
- Monthly social in April 2012.

Installation of Officers: St. Anne's Society began its year with the installation of new officers. Fr. Jerzy was present to install Deb Peltier, President; Kathy Tetzloff, Vice President; Betsy Muhvic, Secretary and Jean Brazzale, Treasurer. Esther Bigus, outgoing Vice President began the ceremony by thanking the retiring officers for their time and dedication to the society. We extend our congratulations to the new officers and pledge them our support.
We look forward to the new year and all the good things to come. All the ladies of the parish are invited to join us for our October meeting on Monday, Oct. 10 for a Pot Luck Supper at 6:00 p.m. in the Family Center, to be followed by a meeting.
St. Anne's officers will be meeting with representatives from St. Stephen's parish to invite their ladies to join our society. We are always open to your suggestions for speakers or programs. Contact one of the officers with your ideas. President Deb has been working on several speakers for future meetings.

May Crowning: St. Anne's ladies participated in our annual May Crowning. Unfortunately for the first time, no 1st Communicants participated. Fr. Jerzy celebrated Mass and President Deb Peltier led the Litany to the Blessed Mother and crowned the Blessed Mother. The Family Choir provided music. The ladies enjoyed refreshments and card bingo following the liturgy.
St. Anne's next meeting will be in September. During the summer months we will be looking for ideas, speakers & programs for the coming year. Contact any of the officers with your suggestions or drop them off at the parish office. Thank you!

Deanery Council of Catholic Women Board Meeting: St. Anne's Society hosted the Spring Stevens Point Deanery Council of Catholic Women Board Meeting. Over 50 women and 4 pastors attended the meeting which began with a dinner catered by Rockman's. Our dean Fr. John Potacek stood in front of the beautiful new Deanery Banner.
Important dates coming soon were announced: Spiritualty Day in Chippewa Falls on June 25th, Leadership Training Day at St. Bron's in August and a trip to Our Lady of Good Help in New Franken in May. Donations were made to Operation Bootstrap, Place of Peace, Back Packs for Kids and Mobile Pantry. Our own Deb Peltier will be the new Treasurer for the Deanery.
